Calling Tamaki Makaurau home, Fox Glove has been a relative newcomer to the Bass Scene and DJ culture having not truly experienced any of it till finding themselves unexpectedly working at Karangahape road’s own Neck of the Woods.
 
Experiencing a broad range of genres they found themselves being drawn to the likes of 140 Bass, Jungle, Liquid DnB and Breaks, absolutely loving getting lost in rolling bass lines and complex drum patterns. It was a moment of clarity mid dance floor at a festival that they found themselves truly understanding their love for the community and they decided they’d love to learn how to DJ and immerse themselves deeper in it all.
 
Like many, the COVID lockdowns provided the time and space for them to sit down and learn, borrowing a controller from a flatmate and slowly teaching themselves a little bit each day they quickly became hooked and everyday became practice or searching for new music.
 
Once the world opened back up, they quickly secured their first gig as support for TRUTH which quickly became a catalyst for landing more with highlights being the Drop Zone at the Dimension Festival, playing support for the Liquid Lowdown and as part of the main room for Bassment’s Local Roll Call. Fox Glove comes with a true passions for music and community, a true love of deep bass and connecting through music and they’re going to do everything they can to be a part of it as much as possible.
