Birkenthot was born in the melting pot of bass and swampy basements of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Not content with sticking to one genre Birkenthot creates journeys across the whole spectrum of electronic music. From the relentlessly energetic to the lush and hypnotic they blend silky wubs with sexy, eclectic genre-bending and heavy basslines.
 
A long-time attendee of underground electronic gigs and avid listener of all genres Birkenthot started mixing during the first lockdown of 2020 and has been hooked ever since.
 
A veteran of Twisted Frequency and member of Wellington soundsystem Third Eye Hi-fi. They’ve held down multiple slots for Homebass on Radioactive, and put on countless gigs across the motu with Third Eye and Poneke dubstep collective DNG.
